Nero DVD Player is an easy-to-use tool for playing DVDs and video files on your computer. Whether you’re enjoying movies or personal videos, the interface is designed to make playback simple and smooth. Here’s how you can get started with Nero DVD Player.

Step 1: Install Nero DVD Player

First, download and install Nero DVD Player from the official Nero website or from the Microsoft Store. This will allow you to view various Nero applications, including the DVD Player.

Step 2: Launch the Nero DVD Player

Once installed, open Nero DVD Player from the Nero Start ( Nero Software collection) or your Microsoft Store. You’ll be greeted with an easy-to-navigate home screen like the one in the image.

Step 3: Insert Your DVD

To play a DVD, insert it into your computer’s DVD drive. If the disc is recognized correctly, Nero DVD Player will detect it, and you’ll see a prompt on the screen to begin playback. Click the “Play” button to start watching your DVD.

If your DVD is detected as a success, it will directly show your DVD's name.

If the trial has expired, as seen in the image with the message "Free trial is expired," you can purchase a full version to continue using the DVD player. We will give each new user a 7-day free trial.

Step 4: Alternative: Play Media Files

If you don’t have a DVD but want to play a video file, you can drag and drop the file into the interface or use the "Browse" button on the right-hand side of the screen. Nero DVD Player supports many media file formats so that you can enjoy your favorite content easily.

Step 5: Use the Media Library

The "Media Library" feature lets you browse and organize media files stored on your computer or network devices. Here’s how you can use it. Click Media Library: In the "Media Library" section on the main screen, select the "Open" button.

  1. Add Local folder

Add your local folder to your media player.

  1. Add WebDave Server

You can easily access your devices this way; you don't need to strictly use one Wi-Fi. You can use it to locate your home NAS or other devices.

  1. DLNA Media Server

By finding the same network device and connecting them to share the media.

  1. Media Libary

The Media Library is a great way to manage your digital video files and keep everything in one place for quick access.

Step 6: Enjoy using the Nero DVD Player to play music or video!

Once your video is playing, you can use the on-screen controls to:

  • Make the video full on your screen

  • Sticky the Nero DVD Player on the Top

  • Play or Pause the video

  • Adjust Volume levels

  • Select language, and subtitles if available

we can also right-click to check each media info.

We can also use Nero DVD Player to enjoy our music. The controls are the same as those on the video.
