Launch and Configure

Launch the Application: Open the Nero Screen Recorder application on your Windows PC.

Select Recording Area: Choose to record the Full Screen, a specific Window, or click-and-drag to select a Custom Area (Free Form).

Set Audio & Camera Options

Audio Setup: Ensure your desired audio sources are active. Toggle the icons to capture System Audio (internal sounds) and/or Microphone Audio (voice narration).

Camera Setup (Optional): If you want to include your face or live video, toggle the Camera Recording option on. Adjust the placement and size of the camera feed on your screen.

Record and Stop

Start Recording: Click the Record button. A countdown will begin before recording starts.

Perform Your Action: Carry out the task you want to record (e.g., play a game, demonstrate a tutorial, open a presentation).
Stop Recording: Click the Stop button (usually found in the control panel or system tray) or use the defined Stop hotkey (Ctrl+F10 in default) when finished.

Edit and Share

After stopping the recording, your new video file will open in the Nero Screen Recorder interface, ready for post-production:

Use the built-in trimming and cutting feature to remove unwanted footage from the beginning or end of your recording.

Generate Subtitles

Click the Auto Create Subtitle button to let Nero's AI quickly create multi-language captions for your video.

Click the "Edit subtitle manually" button to add or edit subtitles in manual mode, especially when your video has no speech for voice recognition.

Zoom Video

Click the Auto Zoom button to let Nero's AI quickly create zoom sections on the timeline.

Click the add button or select one of the zoom sections to edit the zoom level, position, and duration manually.

Export

Export the final video file to your local drive in your preferred format and resolution.
